EPW - R. & G. Beesley, Liverpool, lever fusee, 50mm, 18K gold OF original B & Co. case with "William A. Brigham" engraved inside rear, cream colored enamel dial, KWKS, lever escapement, 7J, gilt mvt with gilt locking dust-cap, s#10932 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 73.9 dwt (115.0 g). This watch was originally owned by William Ashbel Brigham, the father of John Lowell Brigham who was a cavalry officer on the staff of General Philip Henry Sheridan.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking sluggishly after a twist to start, stopping occasionally, hacking function not operating, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, gilt surfaces with mild haze spotting, mvt with some play at case hinge; dial with hl between center and bottom edge, perimeter hls between 1 and 2 and between 7 and 9; fine hands, minute with some bends to outer portion; case shows medium wear, no dents or dings, reduced engine turning detail with full loss throughout shoulder; tight bow; good glass crystal.
